The most recent HYROX Dallas event was held on 18th November 2023 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

There were some exciting Elite 15 athletes to watch in both the Mixed and Men’s Doubles in particular, and 3 Overall World Records and 1 Age Group World Record were broken on the day.  Read on for all the news…

Doubles

There were some seriously impressive performances in the Doubles division in Dallas, with new World Records set in the Men’s, Women’s and Mixed categories.

The Mixed Doubles was won by Chicago Major Elite 15 winners Ryan Kent and Megan Jacoby in an unbelievable overall World Record time of 00:51:16.  Thta’s over 3 minutes quicker than the previous best time in this division, and will take some beating! In fact, at the time of writing it would be the 10th fastest ever time in the Mens Doubles!

The Men’s Doubles was won by Elite 15 athletes Pelayo Menendez Fernandez and Rich Ryan (both of whom surprised with their respective 4th and 5th places in Chicago last weekend) in an incredible overall World Record time of 00:48:36.  Fellow Elite 15 athletes David Magida and Dylan Scott were just a minute behind in 00:49:33 (which was the 3rd fastest Men’s Doubles time ever).

The Women’s Doubles was won by Ali Summers and Meghan McNab in a time of 00:57:36. Second place was taken by Nicole Fisher and Immie Cross, who set a new 40-49 Age Group World Record of 00:59:46.

Relay

Yet another Overall World Record was set in the Men’s Relay by Elite 15 athletes Pelayo Menendez Fernandez, Rich Ryan, Dylan Scott and David Magida in an unbelievable time of 00:47:42.

Men’s Pro

The Men’s Pro was won by Joe Kilmer in a time of 00:59:52.

Second was Gunther Klaus in 01:04:29.

Third place was taken by Gus Manke in a time of 01:05:04.

Women’s Pro

The Women’s Pro was won by Lauren Griffith in a time of 01:06:46. This does not improve her placing in the Elite 15 ranking, she remains in a fantastic 12th which was set just a week prior  in Chicago.

Second was Maria Fecik in 01:07:37. Maria raced the previous week in the Elite race at the HYROX Major in Chicago.  This performance is another great performance from her but does not improve on her 21st placing in the Elite 15 rankings for future majors.

Third place was taken by Kayti Simonson in a time of 01:08:31.

Men’s Open

The Men’s Open was won by Marc Doerfer in a time of 01:01:25.

Second was Brad Miles in 01:02:22.

Third place was taken by Justin Rubin in a time of 01:03:19.

Women’s Open

Fastest in the Women’s Open race was Rachel Legacy in a time of 01:04:06, closely followed by Briana Carbonell in 01:04:25.

Third place was taken by Lauren Bachmeier in a time of 01:06:12.
