The latest HYROX Houston event was held on 16th March 2024 at the George R Brown Convention Centre.

Men’s Pro

The Men’s Pro division was won by Joe Kilmer in a time of 01:00:08.

Second was Dawson Miller in 01:01:34.

Third place was taken by Robin Persegol in a time of 01:03:56.

Women’s Pro

The Women’s Pro was won by CrossFit Games athlete Kristi O’Connell in her first ever HYROX race – finishing in a time of 01:04:37.

Second was Lauren Rantala in 01:07:41.

Third place was taken by Maribeth Colgan in a time of 01:08:34.

Pro Doubles

The Men’s Pro Doubles was won by Brandon Bonine and Johnny Mares in a time of 00:59:21.

The Women’s Pro Doubles was won by Daneysa Berdejo and Alexa Fernandez in a time of 01:12:41.

Men’s Open

The Men’s Open was won by Cole Walkington in a time of 00:57:09 – equalling the Men’s Open U24 World Record.

Second was Jack Klopfenstein in 01:01:16.

Third place was taken by Russ Riberto in a time of 01:02:29.

Women’s Open

The Women’s Open was won by Hannah Taylor in a time of 01:05:22. Hannah is on one of our Rox Lyfe coaching clients who has been making great progress over the past year, and the young athlete is certainly someone with a big future ahead of them in the sport.

Second was Lisa Zelenak in 01:05:22.

Third place was taken by Karla Rotondi in a time of 01:08:56.

Open Doubles

The Men’s Open Doubles was won by Westin Kropf and Reagan Kropf in a time of 00:55:42.

The Women’s Open Doubles was won by Karina Hyman and Lindsay Bare in a time of 01:02:49.

The Mixed Open Doubles was won by Lauren Griffith and Isaac Sanderson in a time of 00:51:59 – the 2nd fastest Mixed Doubles ever! I (Greg) got to sit with Lauren shortly after she raced in Washington a couple of weeks prior to this race, as part of the Coffee ‘n Champs series with HYROX. You can watch that here.

Also taking part in the Mixed Doubles was CrossFit Games athlete Mal O’Brien. Along with her Doubles partner Cooper Marsh, they finished in a time of 60.35, the 3rd fastest time of the day.
