The latest HYROX Washington DC event was held on 7-8th March 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

This was the HYROX Americas Regional Championships, therefore all competitors needed a passport from the Americas region in order to race. This was also the only opportunity for Americas participants to qualify for the World Championships using Open weights rather than Pro.

The weekend also featured Elite 15 races with athletes battling it out to become the American Champion, but also to try to claim 1 spot for the Elite 15 at the 2026 World Championships.  The races were live streamed – with Rox Lyfe’s Greg Williams once again on the commentary team. You can catch up on the livestreams here.

Elite Women

The Elite Women’s race was won by Lauren Weeks in a dominant performance that saw her lead for the majority of the race. Vivian Tafuto pushed Lauren hard in the early stages – taking the lead briefly on the sled pull and keeping pace with Lauren up to the burpee broad jumps. However she fell back to 2nd place on the burpees and was no longer a serious threat for the win. Both Vivian and Lauren had already secured their qualifying spots for the World Championships in Stockholm, so with only one qualifying place available, it went to the 3rd place finisher…

Morgan Schultz came out of ski erg in 6th place, and moved back into 3rd place on run going into the sled push. She remained in 3rd place for the rest of the race, looking calm and composed throughout but closely chased by Carolyn Watkins who moved into 4th place going into BBJs. She came into the wall balls 42 secs behind Morgan, but made up time to finish just 12 seconds shy of qualifying spot, meaning Morgan took third place.

A notable mention must go to Rachel Legacy, who raced in her first E15 race at 7 months pregnant – finishing in 15th place in 1:15:09.

Elite Men

Cole Learn won the Men’s Elite race in an amazing performance that saw him finish in a time just shy of the World Record by 22 seconds! He took the lead at the sled pull and did not relinquish it, coming into the wall balls still on world record pace.  However, he needed to break a couple of times at the wall balls so narrowly missed out on setting the fastest time ever but has booked his qualifying spot for the World Championships in Stockholm and this performance certainly puts him in the conversation as a podium contender.

Dylan Scott and Rich Ryan (both already qualified for the World Championships) were at the front for the early stages of the race, but fell back at the sled pull, with  Dylan making a brilliant recovery to ultimately finish in 2nd place.

Greyson Kilgore had been in 2nd place early on but fell back at the farmer’s carry, and so third place was taken by CrossFit Games athlete Frédéric Dubé, just 14 seconds behind Dylan Scott in only his 7th HYROX race.
