The next HYROX Singapore event will take place on 29th June 2024 at the Singapore National Stadium.  Tickets are available from the HYROX website.  This will be the same venue as the first time HYROX went to Singapore on 7th October 2023.  Visually it has to be one of the most impressive HYROX venues to date (with many people calling for it to be a potential venue for a future World Championships).  However, by all accounts, it was very humid which may have impacted performances / race times to some extent. The event was sponsored by Cigna Healthcare (as will the 2024 event be).

News, results and pictures from the debut event are shown below…

2023 Race Review

Men’s Pro

The Men’s Pro was won by Gabe Heck in a time of 01:04:34.

Gabe was already sitting in 19th place in the Elite rankings – the Singapore result does not improve his position, and in fact this performance – only his second ever in HYROX – was over 5 minutes slower than he’d managed on his previous outing in Hong Kong (a sign, perhaps, of the impact of the humidity in the venue).

Christoph Lex was second in 01:08:30, followed by Phil Snowden in 01:09:41.

Women’s Pro

The Women’s Pro was won by Dr. Alice Schürer in a time of 01:13:46.

Tessa Alison Jones was second in 01:19:55.

Third was Michiko Sato in 01:20:35.

Men’s Open

The Men’s Open was won by Karim Hegazy in 01:06:45.

Nathan Richey was second in 01:11:04, very closely followed by Josh Anstey in 01:11:52.

Women’s Open

The Women’s Open was won by Maire McGinley in a time of 01:13:42.

JD Cheong was second in 01:14:09, extremely closely followed by Jane Koh in 01:14:12.

The Men’s Doubles was won by Ian Deeth and Tony Van Eck in a time of 01:02:05.
