The final USA HYROX race of 2023 took place in Los Angeles on Saturday 16th December 2023. The event was held at the The Biltmore Los Angeles.
Amongst those racing were World Champion, Hunter McIntyre, and Anass Zouhry, who teamed up in the Men’s Doubles, with the aim of breaking the current World Record.
In the Women’s Pro, both Terra Jackson and Kris Rugloski were hoping to improve their times in order to break back into the Elite 15 for the upcoming Majors.
The main results of the day were as follows…
Women’s Pro
The Women’s Pro was won by Lauren Griffith in a time of 01:02:18. This time moves Lauren into a brillant 10th place (at time of writing) in the Major Qualification Ranking.Â
Second was Kris Rugloski (2022 HYROX World Champion) in 01:04:13. This moves Kris into 16th place in the Elite 15 Major Qualification Ranking.
Third place was taken by Maria Fecik in a time of 01:05:11. This moves Maria into 19th place in the Elite 15 Major Qualification Ranking.
Men’s Pro
The Men’s Pro was won by Austin Azar in a time of 01:00:42.
Second was Jesse Bruce in 01:01:04.
Third place was taken by Grady Jackson in a time of 01:02:42.
Women’s Open
The Women’s Open was won by Kim Richter in a time of 01:03:47.
Second was Allison Outlaw in 01:04:57.
Third place was taken by Claire Guarino in a time of 01:07:20.
Men’s Open
The Men’s Open was won by Daniel Sorenson in a time of 00:59:28.
Second was Aaron Nowlin in 01:01:12.
Third place was taken by Chaz Hatton in a time of 01:01:40.
Doubles
The Men’s Doubles was won by Hunter McIntyre and Anass Zouhry in a time of 00:48:48 – missing out on the World Record by just 12 seconds (and setting the second fastest time ever in the division).
The Women’s Doubles was won by Molly Campbell and Kara Mobly in a time of 01:01:44.
The Mixed Doubles was won by Marc Howe and Lauren Rantala in a time of 00:58:34.
