HYROX went to Doha in Qatar for the first time on 10th and 11th May 2024 at the impressive Aspire Dome.
May 10th kicked things off with a women’s-only event. The following day was open to everyone. A total of $35,000 in prize money was up for grabs across the days. The podium spots (top 3) in the Pro Men and Women received prize money ($7k for the winner, $5k for second, $3k for third), and an additional $5k went to the winner of the Women’s Pro Doubles division.
Well known names in the sport competing included Michael Sandbach, Jess Towl, Terra Jackson and Megan Jacoby.
DAY 1 – WOMEN’S ONLY EVENT
Women’s Open
The Women’s Open was won by Jade Griffiths in a time of 01:09:16.
Second was Jade Blackmore in 01:12:29.
Third place was taken by Sian Abraham in a time of 01:13:08.
Women’s Pro Doubles
The Women’s Pro Doubles was won by Megan Gibbons and Rachel Gibbons in a time of 01:03:28.
Women’s Open Doubles
The Women’s Open Doubles was won by Hanalua Fernandes and Sanja Kosturanova in a time of 01:12:04.
DAY 2
Women’s Pro
The Women’s Pro was won by Megan Jacoby in a time of 00:59:28
Second was Terra Jackson in 01:03:33.
Third place was taken by Jess Towl in a time of 01:04:13.

Men’s Pro
In the Men’s Pro race, Michael Sandbach had started very strongly, and was leading but pulled out shortly after the sled push with cramping. This allowed Sadiq Elfitouri to take the lead – and ultimately win – in a time of 00:57:38.
Second was Mohamed Ali Mrabet in 01:00:09.
Third place was taken by Adam Corlett in a time of 01:00:58.
Women’s Open
The Women’s Open was won by Fiona Warren in a time of 01:08:51.
Second was Lani Janes in 01:09:23.
Third place was taken by Toni Snoxell in a time of 01:11:17.
Men’s Open
The Men’s Open was won by Lee Tynan in a time of 00:59:00.
Second was Thomas Strettle in 01:01:27.
Third place was taken by Ahmed Hajjo in a time of 01:02:07.
Men’s Pro Doubles
The Men’s Pro Doubles was won by Ciaran Parkinson and Jeremy McConnell in a time of 00:52:58.
Open Doubles
The Men’s Open Doubles was won by Fabian Grill and Nicolas Kuess in a time of 00:52:34.
The Women’s Open Doubles was won by Hannah Davies and Kelly-Lei Lowry in a time of 01:00:48.
The Mixed Open Doubles was won by Sarah Stoneley and John Veitch in a time of 01:00:59.
