Karlsruhe hosted a HYROX event 11th March 2023 at the Messe Karlsruhe.  The results from that event are shown below…

Doubles

The fastest Mixed Doubles pairing were Jézabel Kremer and Joffrey Voisin in 00:54:59. That’s the third fastest mixed doubles time ever at the time of writing, and breaks the 40-49 age group world record. The previous record had stood for a long time, and this new time won’t be easy to beat at all. It was a great showing from this impressive pairing, both of whom now turn their attention to Barcelona in the individuals race this coming weekend in the hope of gaining themselves a spot in the Elite races at the 2023 World Championships.

Kremer sent us these comments after the race: “Living this moment of racing together is really special, sharing this moment with the best French athlete Joeffrey was a great opportunity. The two of us hadn’t necessarily discussed this AG 40-49 record but by analyzing the data, we knew that we could set an excellent time. It was a first, I hope we will have the opportunity to do it again together. For the moment, we are again focused on the individual objectives of the Elite 15 and it will already pass through Barcelona this weekend.

The Men’s Doubles was won by Paul Damaschek and Roman Kadyrbajew in 00:57:16.

The Women’s Doubles was won by the current World Record holders in this category in the 50-59 age group, Christine Schweizer and Kerstin Hartmann in 01:06:03.

Men’s Pro

The Men’s Pro was won by Tobias Lautwein in 00:58:06, closely followed by Beau Wills in 00:58:37. Rounding off the podium was Dieter Schwarzkopf in a time of 01:00:25. These were season best times for both Lautwein and Wills who currently sit in 4th and 5th of the remaining 10 spots available for the elite race qualifying at the 2023 HYROX World Championships.

Lautwein shared some comments with us after the race: “It was a very tough and close race. First Dieter Schwarzkopf led the race. Then I was able to take the lead on the sled pull. Beau Wills was always up behind me. At the finish I was 30 seconds ahead of him. I felt very good and am very happy and satisfied. There’s more to come before the World Championships.

Women’s Pro

The Women’s Pro race was won by Jacqueline Lippenmeyer in 01:07:02. Jacqueline is the 11th fastest female pro athlete so far this year, and recently finished 8th at the European Championhsips in Maastricht. Second was Caroline Vreden in 01:12:10, followed by Elita Amato in 01:13:11.

Men’s Open

Fastest in the Men’s Open was Luca Vogelsang in 00:58:55. Second was Lukas Zajons in 01:01:08, closely followed by Jan Nicholas Bauer in 01:01:20

Women’s Open

Fastest in the Women’s Open race was Rebecca Anderheggen in 01:05:35. Second was Diane Lüthi in 01:07:55. The podium was completed by Christine Westerhorstmann in 01:08:37.
