The latest HYROX Hamburg race took place from 2nd to 5th October 2025 at the Hamburg Messe und Congress, Halle B6, Entrance South, Karolinenstraße 20-22, Hamburg, Germany. As the home of HYROX, Hamburg hosted its biggest event yet across four packed days of racing.
The event also hosted the first Major races of the 2025/26 season – with the Elite 15 solo races taking place on Friday night, and the Elite 15 Doubles races on Saturday night. The top 3 finishers in each race booked their spot in the Elite 15 at the Stockholm 2026 World Championships. As always, these races were livestreamed with Rox Lyfe’s Greg Williams on the commentary team.
The Singles livestream can be viewed here (men) and here (women). The Doubles can be viewed here (men) and here (women).
HYROX Hamburg Results
Read on for the main results from the event…
Elite Women
The Women’s Elite race was won by Australia’s Joanna Wietrzyk, having led the entire race. She faced stiff competition from the USA’s Vivian Tafuto in the latter half of the race, with Vivian finishing just 5 wall balls behind Joanna.
The podium was rounded off by 3-time World Champion Lauren Weeks, who passed Lena on the wall balls.
There was heartbreak for rookie athlete Lena Putters, who was on course for a 3rd place finish – she unfortunately missed a running lap and was given a 3 minute time penalty, making her the first athlete to make use of the new penalty box rule. She will, however, likely be encouraged by her debut Elite performance and is surely one of the favourites to take one of the remaining qualifying spots in future Majors.

Elite Women’s Doubles
The Women’s Elite Doubles on Saturday night brought lots of drama, with penalties creating a nerve wracking 3 way battle for 3rd place.
The race was dominated by Lauren Griffith / Lauren Weeks, and Jess Pettrow / Joanna Wietrzyk. They exchanged the lead frequently in the early stages, until Lauren and Lauren ultimately took the lead on the BBJs and did not relinquish it.
Gabriella Moriarty and Zara Piergianni completed the wall balls in 3rd place, but had 60 excruciating seconds of penalties to serve in the penalty box. Camilla Massa and Seka Arning had 15 seconds of penalties to serve, meaning it looked like Margot and Charlotte Vandenlindenloof might take the 3rd spot, but some no reps on the wall balls meant that Gabriella and Zara clung on to 3rd place – crossing the line just 2 seconds ahead of Margot and Charlotte and Camilla and Seka!
There was also drama when Melanie Maurer and Jennifer Nikolaus were disqualified for missing a lane of burpee broad jumps. Melanie later explained that this happened because a judge told them they had finished.
The full results were as follows:
Lauren Griffith, Lauren Weeks – 00:54:39 (Q)

The Men’s Elite Doubles was won by 2024 World Champion, Alex Roncevic and 2025 World Champion, Tim Wenisch in a time of 49:17. The win never looked in doubt with the pairing taking the lead from the start and never letting up.
An impressive performance from Jake Williamson and Alen Ploj gave them the second qualifying spot for Stockholm.
In the battle for the third and final qualifying place, there was heartbreak for Hidde Weersma and Thierry Willigenburg who came into the wall balls in second place, but numerous no-reps allowed James Kelly and Jake Dearden to pass them for the third qualifying spot, despite entering the wall balls 37secs behind.
There was also drama for Charlie Boterill and Ollie Russell who finished the wall balls in third place but due to 30 seconds of penalties picked up on the BBJs, had to stand in the penalty box, falling from 3rd to 5th place.
