The next HYROX Glasgow event will be held on the weekend of 14th March 2025. Tickets are not on sale yet.

The Thursday night will host an Elite 15 Major race – with Greg from Rox Lyfe on the commentary.

2023/24 Event Review

The latest HYROX event in Glasgow was held on 2nd and 3rd March 2024 at the Scottish Event Campus.  

As is typical of UK HYROX events, tickets sold out well in advance.  Read on for a review of the weekend… 

World Records

There were some amazing World Records beaten over the course of the weekend.

Firstly Simon Passmore raced in both the Men’s Open (01:01:05) and Pro (01:08:16) on the Saturday, taking the 50-54 Age Group World Records in both events – an incredible achievement!

In the Women’s Open, the amazing Celia Duff  absolutely smashed the 70-74 Age Group World Record in a time of 01:42:27.

In the Mixed Doubles, Wendy Williams and Peter Kelly once again broke the 60-69 AG WR with a fantastic time of 01:11:59.

In the Women’s Pro Doubles, Elite 15 athletes Kate Davey and Zara Piergianni took the 30-39 Age Group World Record in a time of 00:59:03.

And in the Women’s relay,  Vicky Yuill, Leanne Bain, Clare Mears, Joda Quigley took the 40+ Age Group World Record in a time of 01:02:19.

Women’s Pro

The Women’s Pro was won by Bryony Keys in a time of 01:09:04.

Second was Jodie Digby in 01:10:13.

Third place was taken by Anna Aitken in a time of 01:11:36.

Pro Doubles

The Men’s Pro Doubles was won by Ciaran Parkinson and Tony Revell in a time of 00:53:42 – that’s the third fastest ever time in the Men’s Pro Doubles.

The Women’s Pro Doubles was won by Kate Davey and Zara Piergianni in a time of 00:59:03.

Women’s Open

The Women’s Open was won by Gabriella Moriarty in a time of 01:02:02.

Second was Aoife Fay in 01:03:09.

Third place was taken by Olympic Gold Medallist Eve Muirhead in a time of 01:03:24 (click the link to see our interview with her on the Rox Lyfe podcast).

Men’s Open

The Men’s Open was won by Ryan Adamson in a time of 00:57:49.

Second was Joshua Rose in 00:59:52.

Third place was taken by Harry Bird in a time of 01:00:06.

Open Doubles

The Men’s Open Doubles was won by John Carlisle and Ryan Adamson in a time of 00:52:52.

The Women’s Open Doubles was won by Klare Osborne and Gaby Caron in a time of 01:01:41.

The Mixed Open Doubles was won by Katrina Hamilton and Stephen Pendergrast in a time of 00:58:24.

Getting to Glasgow SEC

The address for Glasgow SEC is: Scottish Event Campus, Exhibition Way, Glasgow, G3 8YW.

The Scottish Event Campus is situated just outside Glasgow City Centre and is accessible by numerous modes of transport.

Train/Tube

The SEC is served by it’s own railway station – Exhibition Centre. The station is 3 minutes train journey from the City centre.

There are numerous direct trains into Glasgow from both London and Edinburgh.

Bus

The X19 Stagecoach service stops a few minutes walk from the venue on Finnieston Street.

Car

The SEC is situated just off of the M8 motorway. The satnav postcode is G3 8YW.

Parking is available in a multi-storey car park which is operated by Glasgow City Council. The car park address is 10 Stobcross Road, G3 8YW.  Up-to-date parking charges can be found here. 

Plane

There are two airports in Glasgow – Glasgow Airport (GLA) and Glasgow Prestwick Airport (PIK). Glasgow is situated 63km from Edinburgh Airport (EDI).

From the airports, the SEC can be accessed by train or taxi.  Further information can be found here.
