Chicago hosted the second American HYROX event of the 2022/23 season on November 5th 2022 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel, with over 1400 athletes participating on the day. News on the most recent HYROX Chicago event can be found here. Â

You can find out all the details of the event (which was twice the size of the previous Chiacgo HYROX) in the above video but, in particular, there were 2 standout performances…
Firstly, the Women’s Pro division saw a new world record set by Megan Jacoby, taking part in only her second ever HYROX, finishing in an incredible 1:01.56. We got to speak with Megan shortly after the event and you can see the full interview here.
The Men’s Pro race then saw Dylan Scott set a new PB, winning in a time of 58:38, the second fastest time of the year so far, and makes it one of a handful of men who have broken the 60 minute barrier. Dylan finished 5th in the 2022 HYROX World Championships in Las Vegas and this performance shows he is definitely in contention to beat that this year.

The convention center is located off the I-90. Complimentary parking is available to guests and valet parking is available for an additional charge (at time of writing valet parking is $17.00 for a daily event or $21.00 overnight).

Chicago O’Hare International Airport is situated 13 miles away from the convention center.
Chicago Midway International Airport is situated 37.5 miles from the convention center.

North American Championships 2022/23
The HYROX North American Championships for 2022/23 was also held in Chicago on 11th February 2023. You can read more about that event here.Â
