The next HYROX Amsterdam event has been announced for the 2024/25 HYROX season.  It will be a huge 3 day event, taking place from 11-13th October 2024, at the RAI Amsterdam.

The provisional race schedule is as follows (subject to change):

Getting to RAI Amsterdam

RAI Amsterdam is centrally located in the city and is therefore easily accessible by public transport and by car. Schiphol Airport is located less than 13 minutes from RAI.

There are numerous options for places to stay nearby the event.

By Train

The railway station for RAI Amsterdam is 300 metres from the entrance and has direct connection with the rest of the city and Schiphol Airport. RAI Amsterdam is signposted from the station. Rail tickets can be purchased in advance from here.

By tram, metro and bus

At the time of writing, Tram 4 and Metro 50/51/52 run to the RAI (stop Europaplein).

For buses, you can use bus 62 (stop Europaplein) or bus 65 (stop Scheldeplein).

Tram, bus and Metro tickets can be purchased upon boarding, or in advance from here. It is not possible to pay by cash on buses.

By Car

On approaching Amsterdam (from the A1, A2 or A4), take the A10 ring road. RAI Amsterdam is located at exit 9 and is signposted. Follow the sign posts to the car parks. Car parking can be booked online in advance from here

By Plane

The RAI is easily accessible from Schiphol Airport. RAI Amsterdam is located within an 8 minute car/taxi journey or 10 minutes by train.

Please ensure that you double check all travel timetables and information directly with the train/tram/bus/metro websites before travelling. 

Other HYROX events in the Netherlands are held in Rotterdam and Maastricht.

2023/24 Race Review

The most recent Amsterdam event was held on 4th November 2023 at RAI Amsterdam.  Those racing included Tobias Lautwein (who finished 3rd at the most recent World Championships), and Beatrice Ardlet (World Record holder in the Mixed Doubles, and Womens Relay).  Read on for the course layout, world championships qualifying spots, and all the main results from the day.

Women’s Pro

The Women’s Pro was won by Dr. Alice Schürer in a time of 01:07:46.

Second was Emily Webb in 01:09:06.

Third place was taken by Lucy Procter in 01:10:17.

Men’s Pro

The Men’s Pro was won by Thierry Willigenburg in a time of 01:00:28, closely followed by Erik Woodward in 01:00:56.

Third place was taken by Hidde Weersma in 01:01:35 (you can read a couple of brilliant articles that Hidde has written for this site here and here)

Women’s Open

The Women’s Open was won by Merel Klifman in a time of 01:07:21.  Second was Erin McElvogue in 01:09:17, very closely followed by Laura Schwarzmuller in 01:09:25.

Men’s Open

The Men’s Open was won by Robert Van Herk in a time of 00:59:13, very closely followed by Maarten Enthoven in 00:59:50.

Third place was taken by Wouter Dilling in 01:01:10.

Doubles

The Men’s Doubles was won by Pieter Maes and Tom Franssens in a time of 00:50:51 – an incredible time that makes them, at the time of writing, the 5th fastest mens doubles team ever!

The Women’s Doubles was won by Charlotte Vandenlindenloof and Margot Vandenlindenloof in a time of 01:01:01.

The Mixed Doubles was won by Jan Teuber and Jennifer Nikolaus in a time of 01:00:51.
