2023 Race Review

Men’s Pro

The Men’s Pro was won by Beau Wills in a time of 01:01:53.

Eugenio Bianchi was second in 01:02:30.

Beau and Eugenio were already sitting in 14th and 18th places respectively in the Elite rankings – the Milan results do not improve positions for either of them. In fact, Eugenio’s time was over 3 minutes slower than he managed in Madrid just 2 weeks prior, which is perhaps a demonstration that this was a relatively tough / slow course.

Ciaran Parkinson, from the UK, finished third in a time of 01:04:14.

Women’s Pro

The Women’s Pro was won by Camilla Massa in a time of 01:05:04. This time moves Camilla up into 11th position (at the time of writing) in the Elite series and so puts her into the qualifying positions for the Major races in the 23/24 season – something that will no doubt please her and is reward for the hard work she’s clearly been putting in during the off-season.

Second was Seka Arning 01:09:09, followed by Hannah Willis in 01:14:39.

Men’s Open

The Men’s Open was won by Olivier Fernandez in a time of 01:02:40.

Second was Daniel Redondo Munoz in 01:03:22, very closely followed by Travis Owles in 01:03:39.

Special mention goes to Rox Lyfe coach – Paul Gillingham, who finished 3rd in his age group and 16th overall with a time of 01:07:33. He also raced last weekend in Copenhagen/Malmo and took the 3rd place in his AG there. Amazing consistency from “Mr HYROX”.

Women’s Open

The Women’s Open was won by Kathryn Robinson 01:07:28, very closely followed by Laura Wittmann 01:07:46.

Anna Syme was third in 01:08:59.

Doubles

The Men’s Doubles was won by Michael Hughes and Adam Corlett in a time of 00:55:20.

The Women’s Doubles was won by Martina Goerz and Aleksandra Vargin in a time of 01:03:56.

The Mixed Doubles was won by Jose Restituto and Andrea Serna in a time of 01:02:51.
