HYROX will host its first official ELITE 15 race at sea aboard the debut HYROX Cruise, and mark the opening of the 2026/27 season.

Departing from Palma de Mallorca on 21 October 2026, the four-day experience will bring together an expected 2,300 athletes and fans aboard first-class Tui Cruises ship – Mein Schiff, travelling through the Mediterranean.

For the first time in HYROX history, fans will watch an official ELITE 15 race while living and training alongside the athletes competing in it. Guests will stay aboard a fully chartered Mein Schiff 4, transformed into a floating HYROX performance and training environment.

The Elite 15 races will take place on the top deck of the ship. There is a two-lane running track around the deck and all workstations are grouped together at the stern.  The races will be in a time trial format (as opposed to the usual Elite 15 style races).  Athletes will be released one at a time (singles) or two at a time (doubles) at regular intervals – it is not a mass start.  An athlete’s finishing time is their total elapsed time from their individual start.  The event will not include the new “Challenger Division” athletes (more on that here).

HYROX has also announced that every Age Group World Champion at the 2026 World Championships in Stockholm will earn a cabin on the HYROX Cruise. See the announcement here.

Moritz Fürste, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at HYROX said: “For the first time ever, our community will watch an official ELITE 15 race onboard a ship in the middle of the Mediterranean. That alone is pretty special. But what makes this really unique goes far beyond the race itself. The cruise is designed to bring the entire HYROX community together in one place – training, recovering and spending time together across four days onboard. We’ve always believed HYROX is more than race day, and this takes that idea to a completely new level.”
