HYROX has announced a transformative global partnership with High Impact Athletes (HIA), a charity founded by athletes who believe performance and purpose go hand in hand.

HIA is on a mission to improve how the world gives by connecting athletes with high impact charities.

Through the new ‘Race for Impact’ initiative, HYROX participants can now compete not just for personal bests but to raise funds for some of the world’s highest-performing charities.

Racers purchase a discounted charity ticket and agree to fundraise for either mental health, women’s empowerment, global health, or climate solutions. HIA’s dedicated Race for Impact fundraising platform provides the tools, resources, and support to amplify their impact and reach their goals.

Until now, HIA has worked exclusively with elite athletes, including Olympians, World Champions, and record holders, to maximise their philanthropic impact.  This partnership extends that impact to every competitor, allowing HYROX athletes of all levels to transform their race into a force for good.

HYROX athletes know that every detail—training, nutrition, recovery— makes the difference between a good and great performance.  The same principle applies to giving. HIA creates high impact funds that ensure every donation delivers the greatest possible impact.

With over 80 global races in 2025 and more than 550,00 athletes competing, the potential is enormous. If just 10% of racers join ‘Race for Impact’ the initiative will:

  • Provide vital nutrients, clean drinking water, and other life-saving treatments to over 2.5 million people.
  • Fund critical mental health therapies and treatments for 350,000 people so they and their families can thrive.
    OR
  • Avert around 11 million tonnes of carbon emissions, more than half the annual CO2 emissions of countries like Croatia and Sri Lanka.

Moritz Furste, HYROX Co-founder and CMO said: “At HYROX, we’ve always believed that sport has the power to unite and inspire. Through ‘Race for Impact,’ we’re giving athletes the chance to do more than race. They can now make a real difference. Whether it’s supporting mental health, addressing climate change, or providing medical support, every step taken is an opportunity to leave an impact.”

Hugo Inglis, Co-founder and Managing Director, HIA: “By joining forces with HYROX, we’re scaling the impact of athlete-led giving to unprecedented heights. ‘Race for Impact’ will empower hundreds of thousands of athletes worldwide to fund causes they care about. No matter your fitness level, every step, rep and finish line can deliver maximum impact where it’s needed most.”

‘Race for Impact’ tickets will be introduced at HYROX events worldwide starting next season from 25th June 2025, excluding the UK which partners with Macmillan and has raised over £3.1 million for people living with cancer.
