The first (regular) HYROX Las Vegas event was held on 1st and 2nd February 2025 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Las Vegas has previously hosted the 2022 World Championships, but never a stand-alone, regular, event.
Along with the regular age group racing, also hosted an Elite 15 Major – with Greg from Rox Lyfe on the commentary. You can catch up on the Elite races on YouTube here.
Read on for the main results of the weekend…
Women’s Elite 15
The Women’s Elite race was won by World Record holder and 3 time World Champion, Lauren Weeks. Lauren won in her home town in a dominant fashion, leading from the start, and finishing in a time of 01:00:31.
Second was Australian (relative) newcomer Joanna Wietrzyk in 01:02:53. Joanna previously beat Lauren in the Hong Kong Major in November, but couldn’t quite compete with the existing world record holder on this occasion.
Third place was taken by Linda Meier in a time of 01:03:06 – qualifying her for the World Championship in Chicago in June 2025. Linda had some very impressive performances last season, but had a slower start to this season, and will be encouraged to be back on the podium and booking her place at the Worlds.
Joanna and Lauren had already claimed their World Championships spots at the Amsterdam Major, so the qualifying places roll down to oldest athlete in the field, Amy Bevilacqua in 4th (01:03:25) and youngest athlete Lucy Procter in 5th place (01:03:56). These two impressive athletes have a 30 year age gap between them.
Men’s Elite 15
The Men’s Elite race was a fierce fight on home soil between Dylan Scott and Hunter McIntyre. Ultimately Dylan won in a time of 00:56:34 with Hunter close behind in 00:56:57.
Third place was taken by New Zealand’s Beau Wills in a time of 00:57:09.
All three men qualify for the World Championship in Chicago in June 2025.
Women’s Pro
The Women’s Pro was won by Morgan Schulz in a time of 01:04:05
Second was Alandra Greenlee in 01:04:30.
Third place was taken by Katherine Fahsbender in a time of 01:04:48
Men’s Pro
The Men’s Pro was won by Greyson Kilgore in a time of 00:58:11.
Second was Dawson Miller in 00:59:03
Third place was taken by Jake Williamson in a time of 00:59:25
Pro Doubles
The Men’s Pro Doubles was won by Anthony Peressini and James Kelly in a time of 00:54:44

CrossFit Athletes turn to HYROX
The Las Vegas event saw a huge turn out of big name CrossFit athletes trying their hands at HYROX – including the only three or the last four CrossFit games mens winners: Mat Fraser, Justin Medeiros, & James Sprague.
Other CrossFit athletes competing included Ellie Turner, Mat O’Keefe, Chandler Smith (who did doubles with Dylan Scott), Jessica Smith, Lauren Stallwood, Emily Rethwill, Phillip Muscarella, Kevin Koester, Trista Smith, Dave Hardie and Patrick Sprague.
We’ve discussed the differences between CrossFit and HYROX in this article, and this season we’ve already seen CrossFit legend Tia-Clair Toomey team up with James Newbury in the Mixed Doubles in Melbourne (check out our podcasts with them both by clicking the links).
Here are some photos of the event…
