HYROX has announced that it will revert to the Mika timing system and results display starting with HYROX Bilbao, on the weekend of 15th February 2025.

Moritz Fürste, Co-Founder at HYROX says: “At HYROX we always aim to deliver the best experience possible to athletes and spectators, we constantly look to innovate and push the boundaries of what is possible. Innovation means doing things that haven’t been done before and, in this situation, the product has not yet met the world-class standards we set for ourselves. We are sorry about the inconveniences caused as a result of the new timing system rollout.”

HYROX launched a new timing system at HYROX Manchester in January 2025, which brought timing and data analytics in-house with the aim of creating a better timing and ranking experience for athletes. HYROX is committed to continually improving athlete experience and believes a core component of this goal is to create a world-class data and analytics platform that can produce bespoke insights unique to the sport of fitness racing.

HYROX’s in-house system was developed for rollout in the 24/25 season and underwent rigorous testing in both closed and open environments. Whilst the system performed its essential functions capturing all data and warehousing it, the process of producing this data for athlete access has been delayed.

Therefore, to maintain a smooth athlete experience HYROX will revert to the Mika timing system and results display for the remainder of this season whilst continuing to develop its system for rollout in the near future.

Athletes who raced at Manchester and subsequent events may have experienced a delay in receiving their results. This data has been accurately captured by the system and all results from these races will be live on the Mika Timing results page by Friday February 21st 2025.

The athletes impacted will receive an email in due course and will receive an email communicating their scores, and those who qualified for the Chicago World Championships will now have been notified of their place.
