Cole Learn produced the standout performance at HYROX Shenzhen, winning the Men’s Pro race in 53:30 as HYROX made its debut in the southern Chinese city.

The Canadian finished more than six minutes clear of the rest of the field, while Switzerland’s Melanie Maurer won the Women’s Pro race in 1:03:25 after making a last-minute change of plans to race in Shenzhen rather than Bangkok.

HYROX Shenzhen took place on August 15-16, 2026, at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.  This was the second ever HYROX event in the city after it’s debut 9 month earlier in December 2025

Men’s Pro

The Men’s Pro was won by Cole Learn in a time of 00:53:30. Cole Learn dominated the Men’s Pro race, winning in 53:30 and finishing a huge 6:30 ahead of second place.

This was the Canadian’s 2nd win in a row after also dominating in Chiba the week previous – giving him another 105 points for the Elite rankings, solidifying his position in the Elite 15 ahead of the first Major in Hamburg in October.  He recorded the fastest run, roxzone, and overall station splits, and finished in atleast the top 4 (of 351 finishers) on every single station.

Learn was the clear class of the field in Shenzhen, with 忍 王 second in 01:00:00, and third place was taken by 财有 焦 in a time of 01:00:14.

Women’s Pro

Swiss athlete Melanie Maurer won the Women’s Pro race in 1:03:25, earning 105 points towards the Elite 15 rankings.

Maurer had originally planned to race at HYROX Bangkok on the same weekend, but made a last-minute switch to Shenzhen. The decision paid off as she took the victory, finishing 1:10 ahead of Germany’s Jana Lebenstedt.

Jana Lebenstedt finished second in 1:04:35, with Claire Nesbitt completing the podium in 1:05:22.

Pro Doubles

The Men’s Pro Doubles was won by Wong Ching and Wai Chung Ryan Hui in a time of 00:54:50.

The Women’s Pro Doubles was won by Eadaoin Mcguinness and Maire Mc Ginley in a time of 00:58:44.
