The last HYROX Melbourne event was held on the 14th and 15th December 2024 at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
The event hosted the first qualifying race of the 2024/25 season for the newly introduced Elite 15 Doubles category, set to debut at the 2025 World Championships in Chicago next June. The top three teams in both the Men’s and Women’s Pro Doubles earned qualification. This drew a number of top athletes from across the HYROX world, with many travelling long distances to chase a coveted qualifying spot.

Men’s Pro
The Men’s Pro was won by Dexter Buchanan in a time of 00:58:53.
Second was Peter Day in 01:01:17.
Third place was taken by Sam Shepherd in a time of 01:01:18.
Women’s Pro
The Women’s Pro was won by Joanna Wietrzyk in a time of 01:00:31.
Second was Mollie Emond in 01:03:53.
Third place was taken by Connie Stevenson in a time of 01:09:23.
Pro Doubles
The Men’s Pro Doubles was won by Chris Woolley and Tom Rodgers in a time of 00:52:53.
Second was Tanguy Cruz and Daniel Payne in 00:52:55.
Third place was taken by Belgians Pieter Maes and Tom Franssens in a time of 00:53:04.
The Women’s Pro Doubles was won by Nicola-Georgia Macbeth and Gabrielle Nikora-Baker in a time of 01:00:55.
Second was Meg Martin and Maddison Biggs in 01:01:01
Third place was taken by Zoe O’Meara and Taryn Sharp in a time of 01:03:20.
All 6 pairs secure their place in the Elite 15 Doubles races at the World Championships in Chicago in June 2025.
