The Elite women’s race was won by Joanna Wietrzyk after a very close race with Lauren Weeks. The two ladies led from the start and swapped the lead between themselves a few times. Joanna came into the wall balls just 14 seconds (8 wall balls) ahead of Lauren, ultimately taking the win by 41 seconds. Lucy Procter came into the wall balls just 19 seconds ahead of fellow Brit Kat Parnell (on her Elite 15 debut). Sinéad Bent came in to the wall balls in 5th place, and Jess Pettrow in 6th place. There were 42 seconds between the 4 women, with Lucy taking 3rd place. Kat had some no reps which heartbreakingly costing her the qualification by just 4 seconds. Elite Men

The Elite Men’s race turned out to be a head-to-head encounter between current World Champion Tim Wenisch and 3x World Champion Hunter McIntyre. Sean Noble came into the Ski Erg in 1st place, but after the Ski Erg, it was Tim and Hunter swapping the lead throughout the whole race. Hunter actually finished the wall balls in first place, but a 15 second penalty for stepping on the line at the Sled Pull meant that he had to wait in the penalty box, allowing Tim to take the win.

A hugely impressive debut Elite 15 performance from Josh van Zeeland saw him come into the wall balls in 3rd place, but numerous no-reps allowed Charlie Botterill to come through to claim the final qualifying spot. Sean Noble also overtook Josh to beat him by just one second.
