HYROXÂ has announced the next wave of its 2026/27 global race calendar, featuring events from January to June 2027. As global participation continues to climb, the scale of HYROX events is growing, with select markets now hosting long-form residencies of up to 10 days to accommodate record athlete demand.
More than two million athletes are expected to compete over 107 race weekends across six continents, with events evolving from 1-2 day formats up to 10 day residencies, in select host cities, further reinforcing HYROX’s position as the World Series of Fitness Racing and demonstrating the continued global demand for the sport.
Following a landmark 2025/26 season, which delivered more than 200 days of racing and welcomed over 1.5 million athletes worldwide, HYROX continues to scale at an unprecedented pace. The 2026/27 season will see the return of many of the brand’s most popular race destinations while expanding into a number of new host cities, including San Diego, Portland, Bari, and Nagoya – further extending the global reach of fitness racing and making HYROX more accessible than ever before.
From Amsterdam to Beijing, Brisbane and Hong Kong, the latest calendar reflects HYROX’s continued international footprint, bringing the sport to more athletes than ever before across Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific while strengthening its presence in established markets.
Christian Toetzke, Co-Founder of HYROX, said: “Every new season demonstrates just how quickly HYROX is growing. With more than two million athletes expected to race this season and over 100 race weekends across six continents, we’re seeing unprecedented global demand for fitness racing. We’re excited to return to many of our iconic destinations while welcoming new host cities, giving athletes even more opportunities to compete and plan their season. This is another important milestone in our mission to make fitness racing more accessible to communities around the world.”
The calendar also includes HYROX Youngstars competitions at selected events, furthering its expansion into North America this 2026/27 season, supporting the continued growth of youth participation in fitness racing, where the season will culminate with the HYROX World Championships in Hong Kong in June 2027.
The announcement gives athletes early visibility of the 2027 calendar, enabling them to plan their racing schedules well in advance, with ticket sales starting from the end of July for each respective region. Additional events may be announced later in the 2026/27 season as HYROX continues its global expansion, which will be announced in due course.Â
